Pai Gow Poker is a current game with ancient ancestry. Based on the ancient Chinese tile game and the current American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker marries the far east with the western in a wonderful game for starting gamblers.
Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the gambler vs. the casino, unlike most other poker games that gamblers wager with other players. By playing against the dealer, beginning players do not have to worry about any other, more experienced gamblers taking their $$$$.
A further Pai Gow benefit is the generally leisurely game pace, novices can take their time and plan without needing to make frenzied selections.
It’s also much simpler to wager on for an extended time with just a tiny amount of money since, to lose, each of your hands has to be under both of the dealer’s hands.
Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the normal 52-card basic deck and one joker. The gambler is given seven cards face up and the house receives seven cards face down.
A 5 card hand and a 2 card hand have to be put together from the seven cards dealt, the five card hand must be stronger than the 2 card hand. To succeed, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be better than the houses.
