Web poker has become globally celebrated recently, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game shows. Its popularity, though, stretches back quite a bit farther than its TV ratings. Over the years several variations on the original poker game have been created, including a few games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with vingt-et-un than traditional poker, in that the gamblers wager against the house rather than each other. The winning hands, are the established poker hands. There is little conniving or different types of bamboozlement. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up prior to the dealer broadcasting "No more wagers." At that instance, both you and the bank and of course all of the other players receive five cards each. Once you have looked at your hand and the dealer’s 1st card, you need to either make a call bet or accede. The call bet’s amount is equal to your original bet, which means that the risks will have increased two fold. Surrendering means that your ante goes instantly to the house. After the bet comes the conclusion. If the dealer does not have ace/king or greater, your wager is returned, with a figure on par with the ante. If the house does have ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand defeats the dealer’s hand. The casino pays out cash equal to your initial bet and fixed expectations on your call bet. These odds are:
- Even for a pair or high card
- two to one for two pairs
- three to one for 3 of a kind
- four to one for a straight
- 5-1 for a flush
- 7-1 for a full house
- 20-1 for a four of a kind
- fifty to one for a straight flush
- 100-1 for a royal flush
