Pai Gow Poker is a current game with old origins. Founded on the old Chinese domino game and the current American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the eastern with the west in an awesome game for starting players.
Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the player vs. the dealer, unlike most other poker games that gamblers compete against other gamblers. By playing against the dealer, beginning players don’t have to fret about other, more advanced people winning their moolla.
An additional Pai Gow edge is the generally slow game play, newcomers are able to take their time and strategize while not needing to make hasty decisions.
It is also much simpler to participate in for a long time with only a small bit of money seeing as, to not win, both of your hands has to be lower than each of the casino’s hands.
Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the regular 52-card common deck and a single joker. The player is dealt seven cards faces showing and the dealer receives 7 cards face down.
A five card hand and one two card hand need to be made from the 7 cards dealt, the 5 card hand has to be higher than the 2 card hand. To win, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be better than the houses.
