Web High Stakes Poker- Gus Hansen

Gus Hansen experienced a wonderful year on the WPT where he was the only gambler to make it to the final poker table in 3 of the events. Gus Hansen has appeared on High Stakes Poker on The Game Show Network where he bought into the game for $400, 000. You might remember one of the biggest pots in high stakes poker history competing against Daniel Negreanu. Hansen won a massive pot with 4 of a kind against Daniel’s full house. Gus has made many tv poker appearances and is deemed to be one of the strongest enthusiasts around the world. While betting on online poker, another side of Hansen has been seen. He regularly plays in the 200/400 No Limit maximum buy-in of $40, 000. Hansen more often than not buys-in for the minimum of Sixteen Thousand dollars and plays very weak. He waits patiently for a decent hand and then goes all in. I believe Gus is an excellent poker player but not even close to the familiar players at 200/400no limit. Unless he is penniless, he has absolutely no reason to settle at the table with the minimum buy-in.

Buying in for the min takes a majority of the skill out of big stack poker. Hansen is accepted to be one of the best poker players anywhere in the world but he can’t buy-in for the full amt.. I believe tv can alter our perception of the real world sometimes. The greatest poker players anywhere in the world may be players you have will not have heard of before. Gus can be seen participating in web poker on Full Tilt. He normally plays in big stakes omaha hi-low and Holdem. Gus Hansen has shown himself as a tournament player. Can he back up his abilities in cash rounds?
